Directors contribute to shaping how the association serves and supports its members.
The Home Furnishings Association (HFA) is seeking nominations for and accepting applications to serve on the association’s Board of Directors. The HFA Board of Directors seeks applicants who are prepared to help shape the future of the home furnishings industry.
Each year, the HFA Board of Directors holds two in-person meetings in March and September and at least two virtual meetings. In addition, directors/officers participate in committee meetings throughout the year, and the HFA Annual Meeting is conducted virtually. Many directors/officers choose to attend the HFA Washington D.C. Fly-In in May and other optional HFA events. All Board positions are unpaid, and Directors and Officers cover their own expenses. The Home Furnishings Association (HFA) Board of Directors helps steward the home furnishings ecosystem into the future. The HFA Board works to anticipate uncertainty, volatility, and risk to minimize potential stakeholder harm and maximize opportunity.
Members of the HFA Board are capable learners committed to collaborating with their peers and colleagues within a team dynamic to make smart decisions that will provide the association, stakeholders, and successors every opportunity to thrive in the future.
