City Furniture and the Miami Dolphins recently teamed up to provide 100 South Florida children with new beds.
“We love kicking off summer by partnering with the Dolphins to make so many kids happy,” said Andrew Koenig, president of Home Furnishings Association member City Furniture, a licensee for Ashley HomeStore, according to Business Wire. “They have a chance to meet Dolphin players, party on the field and, most importantly, try out the new beds that will help enhance their sleep for years as they grow.”
The National Football League team hosted the annual Hope to Dream event June 21 at the Baptist Health Training Facility in Davie. The participating kids enjoyed dinner, toured the Dolphins locker room and powered through fun games and activities with Miami Dolphins players Davon Godchaux, Charles Harris, Bobby McCain and Christian Wilkins, cheerleaders and T.D., Business Wire reported. That was followed by a dance party on their new twin-size beds. Each also received bedding and a Dolphins comforter.
Good to Great Award, too
It was a big month for the Tamarac-based City Furniture. It received the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s 2019 Good to Great Award for businesses with more than 750 employees. The awards recognize companies that “show a pattern of transitioning from solid performance to great performance over a four-year period while demonstrating proven leadership and a solid workforce base,” according to the chamber.
