Duane Petroskey, the President of Gorman’s Home Furnishings & Interior Design, has over 30 years of experience in the furniture and interior design industry. Gorman’s, which operates four distinguished stores in southeastern Michigan, has a long history rooted in recycling. The company began in 1940 as a damaged railroad freight company, soon evolving to repair and resell damaged furniture pieces to the community. Today, Gorman’s Home Furnishings & Interior Design continues this tradition of community support with “Michigan’s Largest Housewarming Party,” a social responsibility initiative that collects gently used furniture and new household items for families and individuals in need throughout the metro Detroit area.
