We champion the causes and issues that are important to you as a home furnishings retailer.

 

We lead work on the issues that are important to you as a home furnishings retailer. HFA seeks to advance policies at the local, state, regional, federal and international levels that will support and spur the advancement of the home furnishings industry. In the past, the HFA has advocated on issues related to sales tax collection, Interchange fees, consumer safety, EPA regulation, Department of Transportation regulation, and more.

Elevating Industry Voices at the HFA Washington D.C. Fly-In

HFA Washington D.C. Fly-In is an annual event that connects HFA members with elected officials, regulators, commissions, and Administration departments in Washington, D.C. to educate lawmakers about the home furnishings industry and to advocate for policies that support the industry’s growth and success. This event is an important opportunity for the home furnishings industry to make its voice heard. By meeting with their elected representatives, HFA members can raise awareness about the challenges facing the industry and advance policies that will help businesses grow and improve consumer safety.

HFA GOVERNMENT RELATIONS ACTION TEAM PRIORITIES AND POSITIONS

Are a critical part of business, but it's not just about the politics.

The HFA Government Relations Action Team is a group of industry leaders who work together to identify industry issues, prioritize concerns, establish positions, and plan advocacy strategies.  Committee members are furniture industry stakeholders committed to working together to create a positive business environment for the home furnishings industry.  This Team often works with the American Home Furnishings Alliance (AHFA) and Home Furnishings Representatives Association (IHFRA) to further amplify the voice of retailers.
