He began his career young and has never looked back, working his way from sales associate to regional manager to franchise owner and everything in between. He owns and operates 16 top-producing stores in the Southeast. Matt’s franchising became so successful that he began hosting “The Franchise Builder Podcast” to inspire and teach others, regardless of their current position in the industry. He was a featured speaker at the Facebook Small Business Summit and was recently named HFA’s 2023 Emerging Star.
Bill Kretz – Director of Sales, Hometrends
Bill has been with Hometrends for over 17 years and enjoys building positive and productive teams. Hometrends LLC owns and operates Ashley Furniture HomeStores in Kearney, Grand Island, and North Platte Nebraska, as well as a Retail and E-commerce Distribution Center in Kearney that serves Central Nebraska, Northwest Kansas, and Northeast Colorado. Hometrends and related companies have served central Nebraska since 1952.
Renee Gilmore – Assist. Vice President, Merchant Learning & Development, Synchrony
Renee Gilmore leads the Synchrony merchant learning and development program. She helps Synchrony partners of all sizes leverage their credit programs, drive successful customer interactions, and increase knowledge and confidence around selling with financing. Renee is an experienced instructional designer and content strategist, who is also on a mission to eradicate jargon and corporate mumbo-jumbo. She is the former Deputy Executive Director for the Center for Plain Language in Washington, DC, and is on the global leadership team for the Synchrony People with Disabilities diversity network.
