Retailer-focused education will explore AI, marketing, operations, customer experience, tariffs, and business growth
The Home Furnishings Association (HFA) will present its Fall 2026 High Point Market Seminar Series from Friday, October 16, through Monday, October 19, at the HFA Retailer Resource Center in Plaza Suites, Showroom 1-527.
The series will feature 17 educational sessions designed to help home furnishings retailers strengthen their businesses and respond to a rapidly changing marketplace. Industry experts will offer practical guidance on AI, marketing, retail technology, final-mile delivery, warehouse performance, customer behavior, tariffs, succession planning, and holiday sales conversion.
“High Point Market gives retailers an important opportunity to step away from day-to-day operations, connect with the industry, and find new ways to move their businesses forward,” said Peter Theran, HFA CEO. “This seminar series is designed to provide practical ideas retailers can take home and put to work.”
The series begins on Friday with a complimentary Lunch and Learn highlighting the tools, partners, and resources available through HFA membership. Additional Friday sessions will examine employee stock ownership plans as a business transition strategy and the retail fundamentals that continue to produce results.
Programming throughout the weekend will address several of the most important opportunities and challenges facing today’s retailers, including:
- Practical uses of AI in retail operations, marketing, sales training, and decision-making
- Final-mile delivery, warehouse performance, and operational efficiency
- Connected showroom technology and visualization tools
- Social media, customer targeting, and marketing strategies
- Serving multiple generations of furniture shoppers
- Import tariffs, landed costs, and profitability
- Holiday selling and customer conversion strategies.
All seminars will take place at the HFA Retailer Resource Center, Plaza Suites, Showroom 1-527, during Fall High Point Market.
